| in left column denotes addition since last release.
OVERVIEW:
PPE (PCBoard Programming Executable) that you can use to replace the
E)nter Message Command when using InterZone Software's InterPCB to
allow your users to send netmail.
CONTENTS:
The following files are included in this archive:
IPINFO - Info shown to users prior to entering a fido
style address
IPINTRO - Intro message to users
IPMENU - Menu
IPNET.CFG - Config file
IPNET.PPE - PCBoard Executable
REGISTER.TXT - Registration form
IPNET.DOC - This file
INSTALLATION:
Installation is fairly easy and straight-forward. The following steps
and examples should have you up and running in a very short period of
time.
1) Create a directory to hold all IPNET files.
2) Unzip IPNETxx.ZIP into the above directory.
3) Run PCBSETUP and edit your CMD.LST file so it will run this program
in place of PCBoard's (E) command for your NETMAIL conference only.
| NOTE: The following conference settings MUST be kept as indicated.
|
| Make All Messages Private : Y
| Echo Mail in Conference : Y
| Force Echo on All Messages : N
| Allow Internet (long) TO: Names : Y
| Prompt for ROUTE Info : N
| Maintain Old MSGS.NDX File : Y
|
| Additionally, disallow Return Receipts, File Attaches and Carbon Copies
| by setting the levels high enough to disable them since IP cannot handle
| these items at this time. All other options may be set to your own
| preferences.
4) Create a configuration file called IPNET.CFG or modify the supplied
IPNET.CFG file. A description follows:
Line 1: Michele Stewart Your FULL Name
Line 2: SunShine PCBoard Your BBS Name
Line 3: 00000000 Registration number (leave 0's until
registered)
Line 4: 0:000/00 Internet gateway, if any. If you do
NOT have an Internet gateway and/or
don't want to offer this to your
users, then you MUST leave line 4
blank!
Registration will remove the "Unregistered Version" from flashing
when executed by your users.
5) (Optional) Create or modify the following files. Each file can be
graphic, language and/or security specific. If not found, IPNET will
use default displays from it's internal setup.
IPINTRO - File displayed to user when PPE initially executed
IPMENU - Menu file displayed to user if Internet messages are also
permitted, giving users a choice between an Internet
addressed message and a Fido or other fido compatible node
address.
IPINFO - File displayed to user prior to entering a fido style
address.
Note: If you wish language specific files, you must use the same
extension as used for your PCBTEXT language files. i.e. if a user
chooses Spanish, and your PCBTEXT language file has a .SPA extension,
then the above files should have the same extension. e.g. IPINTRO.SPA
will show a spanish version of the intro file.
